More practising of (real) human beings - and musicians. Here is Johanna “Jonsu“ Salomaa (vocalist-violinist-songwriter from Finnish band Indica). I know that there are mistakes, but I’m just learning yet.
I have used also silver marker pen, so the diamonds in the dress do really shine! There's that Capricorn sign as well, as it’s Jonsu’s horoscope.

Why she? For sure there are better singers, but to me her voice is like an interesting curiosity. Besides she is a versatile composer and skillful lyricist, I think. In fact, I have never really understood why Indica is called as ”fantasy pop band”, as Jonsu’s lyrics tell mainly about feelings and life of an ordinary human being, they are just written in this kind of poetic and metaphorical form. Also nature is an important part of the lyrics, as it’s inspiring element even to Jonsu. Also due to that fact I painted a lake scenery in this painting.
Indica’s music does need to be carefully listened to - I remember that at first I didn’t like them much, but when I familiarized myself better with their music, I realized that they’re rather unique kind of pop-rock band. Like Jonsu has said, their music is quite a melancholic but still there is always a glimmer of hope. They have moody piano ballads, semi-acoustic pieces, faster pop-rock tunes, some songs have even ”jazzy” feeling in them... I like also a wide range of instruments, along with violin there are different keyboard instruments from piano to grand piano and cembalo, flutes, clarinet, melodica...
Their third disc (Kadonnut puutarha, which is the band's best album in my opinion) has been described even ”progressive pop-rock” and I think that also the fourth album Valoissa falls into the same category. Well, there are not much modern music in Jonsu’s musical influences, as she is influenced mainly from rock- and pop music from 70’s.

And oh, can’t wait for their gig in May! It’s over three years since I have seen them live…

Thanks - for those links as well! Mountains Made of Stone sounds great, but personally I wasn't as impressed with the other two songs. But they're okay anyway. I guess they get better after the album has been released (I think I could give a chance for it, even though it's another album in English - at least the songs are totally new and not remakes of old Finnish songs) and I can listen to them more. ^^

yes, Mountain Made of Stone is the best among these three, but I like Missing and Good-Bye to Berlin, too. New album will be in autumn

Thank you! ^^
Yeah, also I prefer the Finnish songs. I think that English versions lack that certain feeling and also the Finnish lyrics are much better. And to me Jonsu sounds bit strange when she sings in English. Yet I have to admit that Eerie Eden is a great version and Children of Frost isn't bad, too. Nevertheless I'm pretty curious of their forthcoming album - even if it will be an another album in Finnish - since the songs will be completely new and not re-made ones of original Finnish songs.
